Who is Jacqui?
Jacqueline "Jacqui" Fonseca is a Boston-native residential and commercial real estate agent with a deep commitment to her community. Born and raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, to Cape Verdean parents, Jacqui's journey into real estate is deeply personal, shaped by her own experiences navigating housing instability.

In her early years, Jacqui and her family moved frequently within Massachusetts, often relying on the shelter system before finding stability through the Section 8 voucher program.
As a young adult, Jacqui faced further challenges when she found herself homeless and pregnant. During this difficult time, she gained invaluable knowledge of the affordable housing sector, navigating the shelter system with her newborn daughter, and learning to self-advocate along the way. These challenging chapters in her life would later fuel her passion for affordable housing advocacy. These first-hand experiences not only made her a qualified housing advocate at Fenway Health, but also inspired her to become a voice for Boston's most vulnerable populations.
Armed with extensive knowledge of affordable housing programs and a deep understanding of Boston's diverse neighborhoods, Jacqui became a licensed real estate professional in 2019. Today she works with Greater Investments brokerage and has since sold and leased properties all across Massachusetts. With nearly two decades of experience in customer service, she prides herself on conducting business with integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Jacqui is known for her commitment to her clients and her attention to detail, ensuring that each transaction is handled with care and maximum effort.

Her dedication to excellence has been recognized throughout her career. She was awarded Customer Service of the Year in 2010 by Zoo New England for her outstanding service as a model team member. In 2014, she received The Rising Star Leadership Award from her multi-level marketing group, highlighting her ability to mentor and inspire others. Most recently, in 2025, Jacqui was honored with the Black Excellence Award by the Massachusetts State House, recognizing her impactful contributions to the community and real estate industry.

Jacqui's work in the community spans beyond real estate. As a graduate of South Boston High School, Jacqui pursued criminal law and sociology in her early college years. In 2023, her passion for social justice led her to become an advocate for the wrongfully incarcerated and their families through organizations like the New England Innocence Project and The Harriet Tubman Project. As the Co-Executive Director of The Harriet Tubman Project, Jacqui has developed avenues of advocacy to encourage accountability and justice from leaders in our judicial, legislative, and executive branches of government. Facilitating workshops and educational opportunities for all ages, Jacqui empowers those closets to the pain to be closest to the power by creating freedom campaigns and showing others how to become advocates for their loved ones as well. Whether working to address housing insecurity or fighting for accountability in the criminal justice system, Jacqui's efforts are always guided by her core values of integrity, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility to her community. She dedicates her time and resources to various local causes, donating a portion of her real estate profits to nonprofits that align with her personal mission: "Be the example you want to see in the world."
When she’s not working, Jacqui enjoys spending time outdoors with her daughter, engaging in activities like hiking, biking, and swimming. She also has a passion for creative writing, photography, and modeling. Jacqui embodies the spirit of "Boston Strong"—resilient, resourceful, and determined to make a difference, no matter the challenge.
